A game to return to the classics with the whole family, that draws on the first Zeldas and other adventure titles that are so reminiscent of the Game Boy era. Simple but fun, with the sole purpose of having a good time and making it accessible to all audiences. With a melodic soundtrack in the purest 8-bit style. Does it catch your attention? ¡I'll tell you what it's about!

Dandy & Randy DX is a vertical scrolling adventure title developed by Ratalaika Games, a Spanish indie studio born back in 2013, and in which they are all experts in developing old-school 2D titles. You will put yourself in the shoes of Dandy and Randy, who have the dubious honor of being the worst archaeologists on the planet, in addition to a big problem: return all the money they owe to the bank. Luckily for them, they have heard of a very valuable stone that could solve all your headaches.

Its mechanics are simple (barely 4 buttons) but they highlight that "less is more", because, with this alone, this title is capable of making you spend an afternoon of entertainment. During the adventure you will acquire new weapons and skills that you will need to be able to advance in the story, and also get a little more money (it is clear that nothing will hurt our characters). The scenarios, although there are not many, they have designs of the most varied: from a forest, through a rather sinister quagmire to an ice level with slippery floors.

Dandy & Randy DX has several unlockable characters that you can find throughout the 5 maps which presents, along with another extra screen at the end, and best of all: it has frenetic two-player local co-op and is fully translated into Spanish. It barely has any cinematics (beyond a brief initial cinematic and the one that is presented to us after finishing the game) but the final bosses At each level they know how to wage war: certainly playing cooperatively makes things easier, but you will have to coordinate with your partner to distribute the ammunition in these final battles. Each final boss has its own mechanics As for the attacks, but lThe way to beat them is quite similar in all of them.

As strong points and to highlight: its accessibility, colorful, la capacidad que tiene de hacerte viajar en el tiempo a la época de la Game Boy y su jugabilidad.

Como puntos en los que poder hacer una crítica constructiva: las armas y habilidades que vas adquiriendo en ocasiones sólo sirven para momentos puntuales, y en parte debida a la corta duración del juego siento que me gustaría haber tenido mayores oportunidades para utilizar algunas de ellas.

La versión de Xbox of Dandy & Randy DX, además, es accesible con el Quick Resume y cuenta con logros bastante accesibles, con lo que tienes la oportunidad de sumar una buena cantidad de puntos en tu perfil. Hay que mencionar que, aunque el análisis se ha realizado desde Xbox, está ya disponible para todas las plataformas a un precio bastante competitivo.
