We bring good news. We have been invited to 2nd International Video Game Congress DIGRA Spain 2023 (Digital Games Research Association) to give a presentation on the adaptations to the Mortadelo and Filemón video game, as part of a table called Spanish heroes in video games? It will take place in the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Rey Juancarlos University (Fuenlabrada, Madrid) on Thursday the 27th at 12 noon, and, apparently, it will be broadcast live from the DIGRA official channel. Essentially, we will bring up what Martín and I already explained in the special Mortadelo and Filemón of the number 32 from Bonus magazine.

To whet your appetite, on Sunday (it was going to be Saturday, but it was postponed to the next day) I made a special broadcast in our Twitch channel dedicated to T.I.A. detectives. If I usually focus on one video game, this time I played a whopping six: Clever & Smart (1987) in its Amstrad CPC version (the only one I found translated), the first official video game of the particular history of these characters in the world; Mortadelo and Filemón II: Street Safari (1989), the false sequel and pseudo-adaptation of the album of the same name (it only resembles this one in the part where Filemón grabs the chickens by the legs), in its limited TWO version; atomic sulphate (1997), the first buggy graphic adventure from Zeta Multimedia and Alcachofa Soft; Mort & Phil (2005), the first mobile video game and the one that I find most aesthetically and playable (excusing the inevitable crudeness of mobile games of the moment); Armafollón (2008), the beat 'em, up and shoot 'em up with platform touches that are somewhat basic, but entertaining and the fangame of Breaker (2016) by IvanBassic for the old ZX Spectrum.

We hope you enjoy it and see you tomorrow at 12!
