[Meeting…] Ebichu

About 50 weeks ago this section was created, which was premiered by a giant character of North American origin (Groot) so I consider that to star in this entry, which is the last of the season, I had to do something opposite, so the character that closes the section is going to be Ebichu, a tiny hamster of Japanese origin, protagonist of the manga and anime Oruchuban Ebichu (which would mean Ebichu housewife or Ebichu organizes the house).

Just by looking at a drawing of little Ebichu, many will think that this work is for children, that it is a kind of copy of Hamtaro, but I already warn you that you are totally wrong, Ebichu's adventures are aimed at an adult audience, as they are full of adult references and situations, seen through the eyes of this little and helpful hamster.

Ebichu is a talking female hamster who does the housework for her owner, whom she idolizes and for whom she feels an inevitable need to help her in any way possible, a situation that will lead the small rodent to follow her to work or interfere in inopportune moments of her owner's private life.

Everything Ebichu does It is to make his mistress happy, but his unfortunate actions and appearances usually have the opposite effect., so the usual thing is for its owner to get angry and end up cruelly beating the little rodent.

One of the main problems that Ebichu sees in his mistress is that she does not know how to choose men well, since her boyfriend is a womanizer and a brash man who does not pay much attention to her. There will be many times that Ebichu will try to defend her mistress in the face of a couple's argument and come out beaten, because the little hamster has a good heart but does not fully understand depending on what situations in human life, such as her mistress and her boyfriend arguing strongly and ending up reconciling in bed, as if nothing had happened.

The hard housework

Leaving aside her mistress's personal relationships, Ebichu puts a lot of effort into her role as a housewife, even though all the things she has to do become titanic tasks due to her small size. In some of these situations, Ebichu cannot contain his instincts and ends up doing some mischief, such as eating some food that has arrived home by mail (cheese is his weakness) and on other occasions the curious situations occur thanks to a stranger who interrupts Ebichu's chores.

In her daily life, Ebichu will deal with different humans who, after the initial shock of seeing a hamster wearing an apron, will treat her normally. It is not strange then, that Ebichu interacts with his mistress's friends and neighbors, in fact even one of his mistress's boyfriend's friends is deeply in love with Ebichu, which will cause some very strange situations.

When the obligations at home and his mistress's problems do not occupy his time, Ebichu brings out his bravest and most exploratory side, becoming Ebichuman, a kind of superhero who tries to solve other people's problems, in his own way.

Ebichu is an adorable, helpful and very funny character. His good intentions are almost always responded to with blows from his mistress, due to the inappropriateness of his actions, which also seems to be a constant of his personality, thus creating many compromising and fun situations.
