[Gameplay] Mortadelo and Filemón: Armafollón

Reading time: 2 minutes

Last Saturday I played a game Mortadelo and Filemón: Armafollón, the beat em up style and platform Java mobile game based on the characters from Francisco Ibáñez's comics. This time, to the correct version, well remember that I already played another one that was very inferior on a technical level. Was it a lower-capacity mobile version, or perhaps a beta? It is difficult to know, since there is no information about it on the Internet (this may be the only one, or at most, of the very few websites that even mentions it).

On this occasion I found myself facing a very technically superior game. The graphics are large, colorful and detailed, although they follow a slightly different style than Ibáñez that makes me never stop squeaking. We have different ranged weapons for Filemón in addition to his suction cup gun (which can also be used as temporary platforms when we adhere them to a wall). Mortadelo throws in various elements of the stage to make up for the lack of firearms, and wears different disguises when he hits, as well as when Engage enemies in the form of a tank. It's a shame that the game do not squeeze more the chameleon potential of Mortadelo (in fact, I consider that as a playable character he is inferior to Filemón, a nonsense, in my opinion), although a special mention can be made to the phase in which Filemón sails the seas on a motorboat that turns out to be his disguised assistant.

You already have the gameplay available on our channel. YouTube. However, I must say that It's as hard to watch as it was for me to play.. And not because the game is bad, but because the emulator made it almost unplayable at times when there were many elements on the screen, such as with the final bosses, in addition to having numerous graphical errors. Either the Java emulator was not compatible or I had it configured incorrectly. The good thing is that it has provided me with material for an article written on said title.
