Place yourself at the controls of a specter that arrives at the hour of final judgment for some, or salvation for others. He knows friends and enemies, but more he knows the creeper that hides within a temporal narrative.
If it doesn't sound familiar to you Spearhead Games, you didn't play Stories: The Path of Destinies. In 2018, this Canadian studio brings a game with all the visual and spiritual flavor and a much more intricate plot of that game that came out 2 years ago. Will he be on the right path? welcome to Omensigth.
History
You are a Harbringer, an envoy of destiny who, thanks to the sacrifice of a priestess, can rewind time to learn the stories that precede the apocalypse of a land ruled by dogs and cats in war for control, but who, by playing with the void, everything goes towards destruction. In Stories, the protagonist through your decisions creates different types of destiny; in Omensight, we will see in the lives of other characters, how the dominoes fall until they reach the fatal end, and of course make the decision to become friends or enemies of them. Using a kind of nexus we will decide which secondary character we want to play with and the story will unravel with each of these decisions, so it would be up to us to decide if we want to know more about this universe or about the secondary characters.

The story she is not mean in dialogues, you can see the effort to achieve that “narrative puzzle" that the studio wanted and is fun, but it still tends to be repetitive, with dialogue out of character at times. In general, the innovation of the game with respect to its spiritual predecessor is the narration, which is merged to the time resource very much in the style of Majora's Mask, and you will collect enough data to know what happened before the fateful outcome.
Gameplay
We are facing an action game with RPG touches so attacking, dodging, the use of secondary characters, their magic and those that we will collect along the way, is something that we will have to know and use. We will have to defeat hordes of enemies, not very varied, and with some difficulty. There are also touches of platforms so we will use jumping and other movements to move around the environment.

We will have a nexus in which we will decide where to spend the crystals for character improvements, the experience collected to level up, and the movements we will acquire. At the same time, we will have stamps with which to unlock new areas to achieve surprises both in character improvement and in narrative.
On the other hand, this game suffers from linear gameplay, with very little use of its environment to enhance the game experience regarding himself and our time spent on him.
Aesthetics
The game style sweats cel-shading, using the engine Unreal Engine creates beautiful places that are immersed in tones of war and despair worthy of this epic. The soundtrack accompanies us with snare drums, trombones, and trumpets that sing in the light of war and doom. It's a shame that the game's camera is posed so that the game tells you what you should see.

When we attack certain enemies the game uses a kind of zoom with slowdown to give a slowdown effect. close experience of the moment. The bad thing is that a certain earthy blush is noticeable in the characters, with focus losses which are possibly bugs that can be improved in different updates.
With all this, the game is entertaining and the hours spent on it are good. If you want to spend some time getting to know this universe, you are welcome to the tragedy of Omensight.
