As I immerse myself in the magical world of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, I can't help but be in awe of the experience PlatinumGames has created. As a fan of the saga BayonettaI confess that at first I had my doubts about this spin-off, but after several hours of playing, I can safely say that I am completely enthralled.

The first thing that struck me was the dazzling visuals. Each screen looks like something out of an illustrated fairy tale, with vibrant colors and an art style that transports me to a fantasy world. The forest of Avalon comes to life with meticulous detail, from the leaves that move in the wind to the magical creatures that inhabit it. It's a feast for the eyes that makes me want to explore every corner of the game. And boy do I do it, since it has quite a bit of freedom of movement and I often find myself wandering around and exploring any alternative path I find. before going where I was supposed to go. Of course, this ends up being rewarding due to the generous amount of chests and dungeons (called Tír Na NÓg) that are hidden in the game scattered throughout its world.

But what really has me hooked is the innovative dual control system. Control Cereza with the left Joy-Con and Cheshire with the right It can be challenging at first if you don't have prior experience with this mechanic, but since that's not the case for me, I find it incredibly satisfying. The feeling of coordinating both characters to solve puzzles or face enemies is unique. I find myself constantly thinking of new ways to combine their skills, and every time I successfully execute a strategy, I feel a surge of satisfaction. Of course, at first everything is basic, but as you progress and gain new skills, the control system combined with the things you must (and can) do becomes quite complex.

The progression of the game also fascinates me. Unlocking new abilities for Cheshire not only expands combat possibilities, but also opens up new avenues of exploration. I love returning to previous areas with new powers and discovering secrets that were previously inaccessible. It is something fairly common in this type of games, but inBayonetta OriginsIt is designed in such a way that even if you return to the same area, you often feel that it is a different place.

As for combat, although It is not as frenetic as in the main games of Bayonetta, I find it has its own charm. The need to think strategically and coordinate Cereza and Cheshire adds a layer of depth that keeps me engaged in every encounter.

The story, centered on a young Cereza and her relationship with Cheshire, is moving. Seeing Bayonetta's origin from this more vulnerable and personal perspective adds a new dimension to a character I thought I knew well. There is a reason for this and I think it is clear from the first moment, when seeing the style of the game.

In summary, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon It has become one of my most rewarding gaming experiences on the Nintendo Switch. Its combination of a charming visual style, innovative gameplay and emotional narrative has me completely hooked. Each play session leaves me wanting more, eager to discover what new wonders await me in the forest of Avalon.

And you, have you played it? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
